정말 많은 작가들이 참여를 했지만 이곳에는 그중의 일부를 게시하였음을 양해부탁드립니다.

AD Hoc Art는 이 전시를 선보이면서 역사가 오래된 드로잉과 일러스트레이션의 역사를 이어나가는데 있어 한 역할을 합니다. 드로잉은 창조활동에 있어서 언제나 기본이 되어왔습니다. 아주 오래전으로 되돌아가자면 1400년대부터 레오나르도 다빈치, 미켈란젤로와 라파엘 등은 작업을 시작할때뿐 아니라 다른 재료들로 완성될 수 없는 부분을 드로잉으로 마감을 하였습니다. 그후에 1900년대에는 Max Beckmann, Jean Dubuffet, Arshile Gorky, M. C. Escher, André Masson와 Pablo Picasso는 순수미술의 기본으로서의 드로잉을 계속해왔지만 한차원 더 높은 기법으로의 드로잉 활동으로 변화를 주었습니다. 최근에 드로잉으로 이름이 알려진 작가로 Marcel Dzama, R. Crumb, Dan Clowes, Joe Sacco, Yoshitomo Nara와 Julie Doucet 등의 작가들이 더욱 수준있는 드로잉으로 작품활동을 하고있습니다.

이런 역사를 이어오는 드로잉을 새로운 세대인 젊은 작가들의 작업들에서 재발견할 수있는 의미있는 전시라고 생각됩니다.
